Our brief was to remodel the interior spaces of this Edwardian family home to improve the flow and spatial relationships, convert the roof space to sleeping accommodation and to design a generous and bright new ground floor extension to make more of the views and connection into the garden.
The extension houses a new kitchen and dining room and we designed it with latticed roof lights and splayed brick aperture, framing the extension but also the view out, where the same brick has been used throughout the landscaping.
The house retains its traditional appearance at the front, but once through the front door the dramatic light reflections and views reveal themselves.
